The Vicarstown Inn is a 250 year old village inn on the banks of the Grand Canal, near to the River Barrow. It makes an ideal location for touring the Midlands and South Leinster. Surrounded by golf courses, close to the famous Curragh racecourse, National Stud, Japanese Gardens, the Slieve Bloom mountains and the beautiful River Barrow valley.

If you prefer to spend your leisure time fishing, golfing, walking or sightseeing, then Vicarstown is an ideal base. You can set your own pace and discover the Heritage Trail and the "Neighbourwood" woodland walk.

Other attractions include Emo Court, the village of Stradbally (site of the Electric Picnic) and the bustling county town of Portlaoise are all within easy driving distance.
